it's in AND out. use an adaptor-stereo 1/8"(3.5mm) to dual rca.
like this:
http://www.hosatech.com/hosa/products/GRM-193.html

one rca is in, one rca is out sp/dif...

right, no audio cables - use rca video cables instead. They have the proper 75 Ohm impedance and usually feature a yellow plug.
not shure if the more expensive double shielded hi-fi geek cables are any better (or worth the price), but with regular cables you most likely will hear crackling.

cheers, Tom

Hi, I can't set up Sytem Link between my 2 PCs (LunaII one and PulsarII the other)...
I follow all instructions from Manuals, forums, tutorials... but nothing happens.
Yes, I can link S/Pdif and I can transfer audio channel, but Vst System Link can't find this SPDIF "network".
I use Cubase SX3 with V-Stack, and I wish syncronize theese apps.
Any suggestion about it?
Thanks, I've tryed in all ways...sometimes I think that SFP 4.0 can't transmit VST Sytem Link as a "normal" audio board.

i don't know what you mean.
an sp/dif cable is 75ohms. they usually have rca connectors(althgough ANY connector could be used, theoretically). why would i send you to the wrong thing? use the adaptor and two 75ohm sp/diff cables. easy.

the adapter Gary pointed out to you is the proper adapter. 1 RCA will give you SPDIF INPUT and the other RCA will give you SPDIF OUTPUT.

This would work too:

http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?c ... id=42-2550

1 for in and 1 for out.

However I got mine at a dollar store for
$1.14 cents tax included.

hi
i never know about digital cables
so i meant whether i have to buy 2 of spdif cables?,hehe sorry pal
yesterday i nearly had a quarrel with salewoman, she insisted that coax has only one cable, not pair
she said if i want a pair then buy 2 which will cost
around 25bucks,haha
let's forget it
i managed to try plugging in your way with RCA
and found that
scope can send signals but not received
maybe i have to do a new setting in scope toolbar?
thnx folks

the saleswoman was correct. you will need 2 slightly expensive cables to get in AND out at the same time. you will also need an sp/dif source and an sp/dif destination module in your project window. you can use one cable if you only need one direction.
