On freshly intstalled windows XP I installed
SCOPE platform. The problem is that I can't
load synths or the FX in XTC mode. They are
not in Vstplugins XTC dir.
Now, that is strange, because haf an hour
ago I pulled cards out of my old comp and
installed SCOPE from the same CD I used in
the old comp. Everything worked fine before!
Please help me here!
Secon question Bp
Does Sonar have FULL latency compensation
like Cubase?
I want to leave Cubase enviroment. Orion is
excellent, but no latency compensation.
SCOPE 4.0
Pulsar XTC
Luna

I can't select plugins (how?), just update
all plugins. It never comes to an end. The
little windows of each plugin pop up. Even
some keys have to be entered. It never fully
finishes the job. Cubase crashes to plain
desktop.
ok. So I tried refreshing in Orion.
Lotsa problems appear. "Luna cannot be used in XTC accelertor mode" message appears after each XTC plugin. In the end it does
finish and I can see the plugins in Orion
only. But Orion is not Creamware compatibile,
so no use.
Is there anything else I can try?

"Luna cannot be used in XTC accelertor mode" is documented, and is normal for 1st generation cards. It means your card has no ULLI, so don't worry

more has been done with less

Ok. I solved the first part of the problem!
It was a faulty VST plugin. Z3ta FX. It is
the last plugin that Cubase tried to update,
so I thought SCOPE caused the crashing.
Now that I have removed it, update went ok.
Now I can see the plugins. THANX!!!
BUT... some FX even though they appear in
the plugins menu, and load ok, do not show
the GUI. No plugin appears when I want to
edit parameters, just an empty box!
All XTC instruments work fine now.
Man, for a moment I thought I was done...

I have seen a post about this problem
somewhere, but I can't remember where.
It may have been something about 3rd party
plugins working under XTC and not showing
GUI...
I like XTC mode. I work with soft sequencer
and I hate switching apps back and forth.
That is also the reason why I am
leaving Cubase... too many windows,
cluttered and terribly slow. Ideas need to
be written down fast or they are gone.
