I've got my my keyboard connect with the uc-33 wich is connected with the pulsar midi in. This worked fine on my windows pc. But i'm now only able to control i.e. the pulsar mixer with the uc-33, i can't play notes on my keyboard, only if i disconnect the uc-33 and connect the keyboard to the pulsar midi in. How can i play my keyboard & control pulsar with the uc-33 at the same time? HELP PLEASE!!!!
Attach the keyboard directly to your midi in (no UC-33) and then load a Midi Monitor and attach it to the appropriate hardware midi source in Scope. What data is being transmitted?
The only thing that's being trasmitted is the note data from my keyboard. The problem is that on my windows setup i was able to control and play notes at same time i've copy used the same setup as i used in windows but under os 9 it's either the keyboard or the control.. Does it have something to do with the fact that in oms i can't see my controller only creamware midi port 1? (i'm a mac newby so oms somewhat frustrates me)
you can handle this a few ways.
you can get a merge box and connect both items. you can connect the controller to the keyboard's thru port and you should see both signals. you could get another external midi port(serial, parallel or usb) and connect the controller to that.....

did you have OMS explicitely look for new devices ? It doesn't do it automatically, so your controller is indeed unknown to the system.
There might be a 'system extension' required that goes into the extensions folder inside the System Folder.
Usually such stuff is found on the disk coming with the device.
'installation' isn't PC style on the Mac. if something is required to operate a device, those files go into the afforementioned folder and then it's automatically loaded on next restart (required).
if there's an installer you should of course use it, but if none is provided the procedure is like that. Copy driver into the extension folder, restart the system and then let OMS 'look for new devices' or something like that.
