I'm DONE with CW
That's right, man, ask us some questions here, most things are identified quickly.
This is a system that needs a computer built around it (PC)...(mac has other issues)...
Support is here, on Z.
Tell us what's going on, exactly what components are in your machine, and we will endeavour to ensure that you haven't wasted your money, but saved some

OK CW homepage goes down. We know that sucks and CW guys know that too and trying to fix it while trying to meet the release date to the new ASB's in June.
For problems with registration/keys contact the man himself **Ralf
(rb@creamware.de) and he usually fixes your problem the next day.
Other non website problems can be solved as there are many happy CW users here who can offer you help fix any technical problem you have in your setup.
unable to get to CW site is no way the reason to throw the card. I have not been on my page since I activated Scope 4.0 the second day it was released.

SCOPE Systems are a breath to install, and quite simple to configure. Most problems I have heard along those last 6 years of people having problems with Pulsar and Scope boards, has always been their fault.
If you are serious about music, I think you should give yourself the chance to solve the problem, with some knowledge. The first thing to do with Pulsar, is to study the book that comes with it, and very carefully follow the instructions on how to install. Then it follows a few instructions or tweaks to make your PC a suitable system for Pulsar.
We are thousands here, THOUSANDS, and we do not have problems with Pulsar. All the problems are with our systems, and those problems are quickly fixed in most cases, and once they are fixed you not going to have more problems, till you upgrade your system in two or three years time, and you have to configure it again.
SCOPE boards, all of them, are still ahead in technology compared with about a hundred of other audio PC systems that not even don’t sound as well as a Pulsar, but they don’t either have the power, routing, etc., Pulsar has.
I repeat, if you are serious about music, you should think twice before letting it down. I have used Pulsar for quite a few years, and I can swear you, there is nothing in the world that would make what Pulsar does, if for any reason, I had to buy or get a card again, IT WILL BE a SCOPE board, that is for sure.
If you are in the States, you should really take a look at what Garyb is offering you, I would happily pass my computer to him to be fixed.

Hello Vilddyr,
Surely it would be unfortunate, if you would use our products no more longer.
Our products are able to carry out a lot.
So they are more complex to be learned.
Like some people wrote in this thread :
For a really professional music- workstation you have to create your system around the "heart".
I think, many users will stay with my opinion here. They do so, like you can read in this forum.
Scope is ok - for sure ! But it is correct, that there are currently some important serverproblems.
This are kinds of problems, which cannot be solved in a few days, but we are at work to fix this situation.
Non existing support is absolut not correct.
We give our best to handle the present situation.
All day long we generate registrations and keyfiles by manually. And it is a lot of additional work to do, but not a problem to help you out in this way.
Send your request to my creamware-adress and i'll try my best to solve your probs.
Moreover you will find a lot of great support in this forum, with the best community a product ever had.
Here big thanks to antar, garyb, astroman, hubbird and a lot of other users.
OK
To all : Sorry for the curent incommodities.
We are at work to eliminate it from the world.
In the meantime, please write to me, if you need help and we will do our best.

cheers

Scope is ultra stable on my humble G4/733, can't remember a crash from within SFP, maybe one or two in 4 years

If you're really desperate, you could consider a 2nd h. G4, and see if you can make that system switch, it's not that time consuming.
I don't say this to 'get you in the camp', but at least you're safe about the hardware together with the operating system, which is your problem.
If you don't like (the) mac, sell it again and you won't loose much mony

Mac has no IRQ, USB, mobo compatibility , uninstall or cooling problems, unless it's broken

All office and internet Windows programs will run perfect in the mac versions, including Virtual PC

And the looks of the box are for free

Otherwise, as Nestor said, the best thing to do is, send it to Garyb, he can run a Scope board even on a horse

I agree with you on the point of good customer service to a certain point. i have always had good e-mail support. BUT, how much would it cost CW to have an emoployee to go to work 2 hours during weekends to restart that server two times? One thing is for sure, you loose a LOT of goodwill by making the server unavailable for new and old users from friday until monday! and THAT is a FACT! and look at your server stats; i think it has been dowb at least the last 6 weekends!

Sorry Piddi, I don't think your questions really proceed here... I mean, Ralf post couldn’t be better, could it? But you ask more… Why do we always want more when there is enough?
I think no company in the world could explain you in a few words why they do this or that, it is not so simple, life itself its not simple. If we were to know how you are, many of us would say: Hey Piddi, why do you this or that instead of this and that? Everybody has always something to say about “you”, whatever “you” you may happen to be. Everybody wants everybody to be different, but then the real moment to prove oneself being as good as we pretend others to be, we are not.
I congratulate Ralf for his immense patience all the day through, I have received about 5 mails from him in two days to solve my key problem, I think this is a very good level of service, don’t you think so?
Creamware products have more than just technology, they have art within themselves, and for me, it is quite clear that those people, from the beginning, have done something not only to earn money, but out of interest and real enthusiasm for music. For me this is very important, particularly in a world where more and more, people tend to be so cold.
Please, appreciate what we have, and lets see other people efforts as part of your own efforts, do not separating so much what “they” do from what “we” do, as at the end of the day, we are all partners of a single music family.

I have to say that this is an important point. I am constantly refferring people t the Creamware site from the Sonar forum, and I often get comments like "how would I trust a company to make me an audio inteface when they can't even keep their own website up and running? What will happen when I need support??". No matter what it costs in terms of time or money the problem must be addressed immediately, not soon, not as quick as you can, but now!On 2005-05-10 21:08, piddi wrote:Ralph ,this is the point where i just HAVE to say something.

The website is a lot of people's first impression of a company, these days you cannot survive without it. Great products are not enough if the potential user cannot find out about it.
Just my opinion.

guys, people visiting the creamware site don't need to login or register anything.
Other parts of the creamware pages are on a different server and those pages has not been down yet.
the problem is with the registration/key generation server and currently CWA is working on Fixing the problem. So for the time being. they will keep rebooting it until a fix/replacement takes place.

This is a bit silly don't you think? How do you know who is doing their web page? ...On 2005-05-11 13:06, nprime wrote:I have to say that this is an important point. does it matter who does their webpage?
I agree that the webpage is for a lot of customers the "face" of the company. For general impressions for potential customers, or support for registered users. So it's a shame if it doesn't work, and it hurts CWA's image (not to mention sales)
But I'm also sure CWA are doing their best to make it better.
As for the person who started this thread: you are giving up on CW, but you only have 3 PlanetZ posts! Obviously you need to stick around here for a bit longer and take in some of the advice and support of the helpful member inhabiting this place
I'm sure people will be willing and able to help you out if you drop the drama and post a clear and conscise description of your problems.

Are we a bit fastidiously?
Want we total support, on every buck for something we paid for?
And yes, we have the right to require this.
But CWA got and have problems, I'm afraid so.
Today, you have to say that you have a product of a small company, wich had once a great idea from musicans to musicans.
You can´t await a support like other firms have, unfortunately.
Things went wrong in the past.
As a long time user of their product, I will recommend whomever to a CWA product it´s based on a great idea that is simply awesome.
Calm down! My Pulsar card opens a totally free and satisfied world for me and when CWA will die, I will work with it nevertheless, because it works.
