Hi,
Since SX2 has full latency compensation, and I finally managed to get XTC working (yea go ahead and laugh:), I'm making some projects with it again.
Still... I do have problems with the Direct Modes, errors pop up complaining about ASIO64 1L,1R,... connections that cannot be made.
Am I using the wrong ASIO drivers? For now there's ASIO2 24bit Source & standard ASIO2 Dest in the project, I tried to use the ASIO2-32 Source64 and Dest64, which didnt solve the problem. Which ASIO modules do you use? What are they connected to in your XTC project? And how is your DirectPlayMixerContainer connected?
Cheers,
at0mic.
Direct Mode problems
wasup fellas. I found out the answer to this question by first calling creamware support in north america, and then emailing germany.
Bad new and good news.
bad news: creamware no longer contiues to develop anything XTC related. XTC is a dead concept to them.
good news: You no longer need the direct monitor button under windows xp.
I wrestled with that thing for five days before i just finally gave up and asked creamware.
This is how it was explained to me. Hope this helps.

Honestly, I have no Idea why it is not longer needed under xp but that is what was explained to me by jo@creamware.de(i think that was the address).
If you call creamware support in North America, they will tell you that they no longer even load XTC into their computers. They couldnt help me at all.
I myself love XTC mode and the speed at which it lets me work and jot down ideas quickly. Sure, regular SFP mode is a hell of a lot more flexible and presents many more options, but its worth the trade off to me. I have enough gear to keep me busy.
Anyway, those of you that still love XTC mode should write in and complain as I have since they seem to be abondoning it. Be well
