Hi everybody,

Well, I had a bad suprise a few weeks ago when I got back home. Most of my equipment was stolen. I had a Mac G4 with two Pulsar II and an Elektra. Nothing left. Basicaly, what I did is to buy the equivalent in term of N° of DSP. So, I bought a Scope Pro card. Perfect. The I realized that owning a 15 DSP card can give me the chace to get the SDK (that I couldn't get with 6+6+3 DSP...cf my first post).

But.... I suddenly realised that I am not that shure about the Mac compatilility (OS9 of course, even if we leave in th 21st century.......)

Can someone tell me if the SDK IS OS 9 compatible....
I have to admit that I am realy scrared about the answer.

Cheers

eric

As for the stolen cards:

I think the thief didn't realize what kind of stuff is in the computer. And in 90% he will not know. I had similar experience 7 years ago - a PC (PII300), a Mac (G3/266), audiowerk8 card, tons of my CDS (some of them rare items) and a hifi system with the A3000 Yamaha sampler on top. I think the guy thought it was a piece of the hifi system.

As for the SDK - I think it is platform independend but it's only a guess...

As far as I know, the SDK is Windows only, no Mac OS.

Tankx for your replies. But, I'm begening to fell a little bit frustrated. No Mac OSX support, No SDK for OS9....

CW shouldn't consider their products as Mac compatible.

Another sad story...

True?? I'm realy suspicious in ANY anouncement from CW. It's the direct consequence of their behaviours....

BTW, Scope DP is or isn't Mac os compatible??

pc's are cheap. if you want to run the sdk get one. the first machine i had running it was a 550mhz p3. you won't need much for it.

Sincerely, I wouldn't care having a PC (I mean a PX compatible coputeur..) The ONLY regret I would have is to buy back all the soft I own. And I wouldn't be able to run Logic anymore. And I have to admit I realy love this piece of soft.

BTW, I read well this topic, it is still not that clear about the SDK compatibility on Mac OS. Don't tell me that I am the first MAC user that comes with this question. And DP, does anyone here know if it was Mac compatible..

Have a nice day.

E.

A Wise thing to do is to inform CWAin germany about these stolen cards so they can prevent anyone who have them now from accessing these cards online.
