sync plate

i have 3 cards installed (scope/p2/p1). so , is it possible to add a sync plate without problems? (i would like to sync via wordclock).

Of course, it is mounted over one pci slot without using it, it is just connected with an inner cable to one of the cards, I have 3 cards too and connected it to the main one. You must have an unused pci slot space to use it...

Most cases have at least 1 slot bracket which isn't even used by a PCI slot.

I've got an A16U and a Noah and 3 creamware cards. Is it worth getting the synch plate for workclock?

How much of an improvement have people experienced?

Will it improve normal audio playback eg cubase, and reduce jitter on CD playback?

I strongly suspect it's a very good idea, just wanted to check before I splash the cash......

I'm using zlink for the A16U and ADAT from the NOAH into the cards btw. So will the biggest improvement be from the NOAH?

it's a definite improvement, although it's not the difference between good and bad sound. if you use the sync plate, you'll probably want to opt for a high-end master clock generator.
