I have SX 3 and Pulsar 1. For some reason I can see activity on the midi in but not onthe midi out. Anyone has an idea as to why ? I am stumped.

I think we need more information to say something... It is not enough to describe your problem, please, tell us details. Which is the configuration of your system, have you had it working before and it does not work now, which ASIO are you using, do you have IRQ sharing, had installed something new, etc. Cheers

Of course you are correct.

Windows XP,
Pulsar 1,
Cubase SX 3.

Fresh Installation of Cubase. Pulsar used to work with Logic, I moved to Cubase and all of a sudden I cannot get the midi out in Cubase. My guess is that I am missing something in Cubase, I just don't know what. Also my latency is 24.965. really strange.

About the ASIO, I am using Scope 4.0

More info please. Are you using Pulsar MIDI, an external MIDI device, or both? Are you sure Cubase isn't set to some sort of MIDI filtering? Please describe evrything in your system - we'd rather have too much info than not enough.

oooookie....
Roland XP60 hooked directly to Pulsar, apart from that, perhaps this is the time to mention that I am not too technical ?

To the best of my knowledge I cannot see any midi port filtering in Cubase.

Would it be possible that you can guide me to exactly what youare looking for ?

a) Thank you, it seems to work.
b) Now I have some other stuff happening which I do not understand.
The synth in Pulsar is set for channel 2. However, I am hearing it in all channels. Meaning when I select midi channel 3 in Cubase I still hear the synth. Plus another really strange thing is that when I set omni in the synth in Pulsar I can play the whole length of the keyboard, but when I select teh channel in the synth I can play only from a certain location in the keyboard.

I over looked somthing, which could be that I should leave this music stuff and do something else altogether. Perhaps a flourist is a btter hobby ?

Hey, don't through stones to yourself man... we all have had hard times configuring our PCs, you have to go through and learn a bit, then things will be much better.

Have you done the changes from [Emulated]drivers to nomral ones? This is a very important tweak.

The keyboard wasn't touched, and I didn't have these problems with Logic. this is why I am confused. I also do not know of anything in Cubase that can cause such a thing to happen.
