Bergen
I think we have 1 or 2 people from Bergen around here. The percussion/dance group I play in is going to Bergen 1rst to 5th April. I think we are going to play a lot on the 2nd and maybe some on the 4th too. Rumor says it will be mostly mall gigs. The group goes by the name Vimoroz (it is not an actual word, but it comes from "vi morer os" = we are having fun). We play up-tempo ghanesian music. You'd likely get a kick from watching the dancers too

I have managed to misplace my CD with new pictures, so I only have acces to these old ones. Here is a picture of some dancers having a good time and Here is a picture of the guy composing most of our music and making most of the choreografy
That's ok. If it changes anything to you, I can assure you that we are not a bunch of people trying to be more african than the africans. If you saw us at a party, you probably would not be able to guess what keeps us together. We will give PlanetZ a go for "most international group of people" though. Currently we cower (including old part time members):
Denmark
England
Ghana
Iceland
India
Italy
Lithuania
Polen
Spain
Tanzania
I'd say that is pretty good, considdering we are only ~30 full time members and ... i don't know ... 15-20 part timers scattered all over Denmark/the Earth.

yeah, when THEY do ballet or bach, it is said, "finally they have some culture". i would argue that the same logic applies here.

all people know these forms anyway, although in europe tribal dances often degenerate into the goose step(seen some incredible looking goosesteps and stepped lively to drums!).

Here are some more pictures (aproximately 200-400kb each)
This guy studies acoustics real hard. Here are some dancers getting ready. And lift off. I guess, they are having a good time.
Look at the size of that mask. I will be easy to find in Bergen. Up there, I will be the only one playing a bell like this one.

About clothes
It was close to 0 degrees celcius, so that is the reason. Personally I had a glove to hold my bell, because that thing can really suck out all body heat in a few seconds. There where some other groups too though. In the Samba group (pocologo) the dancers looked like this
Don't ask me, if they surviwed. I have seen non of them ever since (2 weeks).
