Hello

Ok, it seems that the analogue input on my elektra card is busted. At first the left chanell stopped workin and now there is no signal at all goin from it to the card. And so im wondering if its possible to somehow bring the line in signal of another soundcard (soundMAx) into elektra?

Pleaseeee hellllpppppp....

thanks for taking the time bro.
and yeah, at this point i can use the input on my other card to bring signal into logic. But like u said, too much latency. So i was hoping to be able to bring the signal right from the other soundcards input into scope and avoid the latency? do u think thats possible? (because the only other input elektra has is spdif, but my other card has no spdif output so i doubt i can do somn with that). and if anyone could tell me exactly how to route that input into the scope mixer, that would be very appreciated.

the most effective way (in context of repair costs) would be to buy a Luna IO-box. They sell out for about 200 bucks.

the other option would be to resolder the joints of the analog connector, which may be broken inside the circuit board.
Not recommended to DIY if it's your first soldering experience, tho - but you may know someone familiar with that tool.
Anyway, first use some 'desoldering wire' to get the old stuff from the connectors, then apply new solder.
according to your description it's highly probable that it's a mechanic issue, otherwisen it could be a coupling capacitor or the input op-amp.

hmmm...interesting ideas. looks like the best thing would indeed be to buy a luna i/o since i dont know anyone who can help me with the soldering, and if i start doin it ill probbaly be left without a soundcard altogether ... anyways, until i actually go out and buy one i'd like to try and work this thing with my other cards input...but the soundcard source in scope doesnt seem to get any signal when i route it to the mixer. So could anyone please tell me how to do it it step by step ? i know its a bit ignorant but thats just me and i appreciate ur help guys

do yourself one simple favour: forget about that soundcard module...
how about spdif input of analog audio ?
any broken DAT will do or the outdated Philips DCC tapes
