Does anyone know a place that I can read detailed reviews of their plug ins? I want to be careful because I already have plugins with similar functionalities. I'm just looking for something better. I'm particularly looking at the mastering comp and compX.

It's also a tough choice because for around $200, I can get an outboard comp which could be more useful as a sound creation tool, given their distinct characteristics.

Lots of info on these plugs in the pulsar-scope archives:

I love them, but CompressorX does have a bug (not show stopping, but..) and the Amazing Sounding "Soft Mastering Compressor" does have phase issues, rendering it useless for me.

The "Hard Mastering" is awesome, and actually, all these plugs are totally top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to HIGHLY recommend them to someone, but these bugs have been bothering me for more than a year now...
