Hi guys.
Synched Cubase SX to VRC.Framerate and all setup ok.
All works fine until I put it into loop then it drags and cubase falls behind?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Think it's sticking because CPU is peaking at 100%.Have to find cause of this.

Just use Cubase for MIDI,but the Scope project is quite intense.theres also a buffer like gap when the loop starts.

Ok tried a simple project, not much CPU.
Looped a drum beat and found that the sequencer took time come in with sound wave missing out the first portion.Buffer can't keep up with external clock I don't think.
Don't think VRC 128 is good for looping with external clock slaves.
Also can the VDAT be slaved to sequencer clock?Tried MTC to Clock module but VDAT stays as Master.

Thanks

If you want to sync an ASIO sequencer with VDAT, use ASIO2 drivers and sync, connect Clk to Clk. MTC is MIDI and can be considered prehistoric nowadays.

Yes, I've also found that Cubase may need 8bars or so to be really tight, but after that it's just bang right on.
In SX, you may want to add another Ruler track, and set it to MTC.(*) Then you can leave the default ruler bar at bars'n'beats.

Once you've set up a loop in SX, read from the loop points from the new ruler bar and make similar markers in VRC-128. This should be pretty close.

I use it to set up 32bars loops etc, ghost copying whatever I'm working on in SX to fill up the remaining so it fits the loop. It's not 100%, there's some glitch at the loop return, but hey it's workeable. I'm not expecting VDAT to run 4bar loops and SX to slave to that. Would be neat tho

I hope you find yourself a workable solution!

<font=-1>(*) The MTC that ASIO Src follows, is (near? never tested really) sample accurate, it's like sync'ing with EBU/wordclock. It mentions hrs, min's, seconds and frames but it is way more precise than MTC from MIDI.</font>

Thanks Atomic.
I have tried clock and timepiece in cubase is same as VRC its just that it takes time for sound to appear.
