My DAW locks in SX 2.2 sometimes once an hour, sometimes every 5 mns...
It happens more frequently with my Mackie Control because of the high MIDI activity between the control surface and SX.

XP SP1 is with ACPI.
Should I try standard mode ?

Is there any settings in Bios or in SX which can fix the problem ?

Thanks for the help

Mathieu

use the midi monitor. is your keyboard controller transmitting active sensing or clock? if so, disable those features or use a midi filter. also, beware of midi feedback loops.

You using a separate midi in/out direct to the Mackie Control, right? What midi interface(s) are you using?

I have made a few test.
If I don't use the midi of the Luna II and use only a Midiman Uno for the Mackie, everything works fine.

If I use only the midi of the Luna with Mackie or with a midi keyboard, it freezes... with the mackie every 5 mns, with the keyboard every 15 mns !

The problem comes from Luna's midi...
Even when I didn't use the Mackie I had this problem with this computer...

Before this asus motherboard, I had an Abit BH7IIRaid, I had to install xp in standard mode to fix another midi problem : at that time, the midi was late...

Please help !!!!

active sensing is well documented to cause freezes, it's one of the only things besides a feedback loop or multiple clock sources.

so turn off active sensing on the keyboard(or use the midi filter) and use the midiman for the mackie control....
