Can't imagine you can't turn off the realtime imaging funktion...?

HAHAHA... sorry about that Royston
Thanks so much for all your support on this thread man...
Yes.. I'll try to disable the waves thing.. BUT.. I'm also planning a Heart Operation tonight.. as I'll change CPU's to see what is going to happen if I add other 250Mhz of processing with a faster one. Cross your fingers for me..., of course I'll change the whole system as soon as I get my hands on some money
...
Thanks again
Snoopy

Took me ages to find this thread today!
The name's changed...
Glad to hear you sussed it out. I think that narly's right in saying you can disable the waveform display. In SL1, you could generate the waveforms post-recording...it might still be possible to do this.

did your mobo/cpu upgrade eliminate your problems with having the project window open?
I'm wondering because I now have a similar problem with Cubase SX3. I get random hitches in audio when recording and the Project window is visible. If I just hide it behind a mixer, the problem is gone! I've tried all the video setup tricks and turning off about everything Cubase is writing to the Project window during recording (waveforms, backgrounds) but if the Project window is open, there are the clicks/pops.
I can simultaneously record 8 stereo tracks and some midi at 44.1KHz and 32 bits while the Scope ASIO is set for 4ms latency with out a problem, but ONLY if the Project window is hidden somehow...
Pretty weird!!! So, what mobo/cpu are you running now, and how well does it work?

Hello Narly, what a coincidence!
Well.. I've just changed my whole system.. (a P3 550Mhz) for a new mainboard with new Intel's 925X Chipset.. a new CPU and GPU, and Case (full of fans (not music fans)), tonight I was going to try to record 16 tracks of audio at 48Khz and some Midi automation for start. So I'll let you know tomorrow how it came up.., so far I've tested it for heating and very demanding games (Doom 3 high quality) and it's been like heaven, and some small Cubase projects.. But, again, tonight it will be tested for multitracking hard work.
Cheers.
Snoopy.

Hello ..., I'm back with my report.
No doubt changing the whole system is paying off..., Last night I was able to record 44 tracks (mono, 48khz, 24 bits each) to my hard disk at the SAME TIME!!!!, with automation included and wave displaying for each track!!.. amazing!...
And the processor would carry between 15 and 20% of usage... just amazing.
