Hi I have a pulsar 2....

1.What is the best quality software IO i can get , when recording into my sequencer (logic 5 PC)?

2.When i am using my pulsar synths ,, i seem to be having a problem when i record them as audio files into logic...let me explain

when using the synths... playback is perfect,, the sound is great,,, but when i bounce the syth onto an audio channel within Logic i seem to loose some quality when recording... the effects within the synth dont seem to come through as clear when you record...?

i hope this makes sence please help
though i am sure it has something to do with the software IO

thanks

I assume you mix and monitor both record and playback through the SFP mixer(s) and avoid Logic's software mixer at all.
In that context (even if the numerical format is changed) there's no difference to be expected (imho).
BUT if the level of the playback is only slightly reduced (1-2dB would be enough), you will observe this as a loss in presence subjectively.

my 2 cents, Tom

I would choose the ASIO2 64 32 for 24 bit recording into Logic. The ASIO 64 FLT should be used when recording to 32 bit float applications like Cubase.
