Some neat features:
-16x16 synthi-style mod matrix with the original routings
-Trapezoid Generator or Manual (midi) Enveloping of the VCA
-Joystick, Reverb, Meter as found in the original
-A few presets to demonstrate routing apps
-MDL panel for quick modifications

Thanks j9k for two of the most important elements in the Synthi: the mod matrix and the trapezoid generator.

Please note that the Trapezoid lfo needs to be started when you load the patch-- click the left "off" button on the right side of the module.

This patch requires:
1) FleXor
2) The SpaceF Text Module

3) J9K's Matrix and Trapezoid Modules:

Also be aware that it's a bit DSP-hungry-- not sure if it'll run on a 3-dsp card.

New versions will probably pop up as I play with it more.

Looks cool, I'll try it asap!

But keep in mind that Mac users won't be able to open a rar, it's better you upload a zip instead...

this looks great!!

i'll have to send you a newer version of the trapezoid. also the filter in the vcs was -18db so you might want to build your own feedback path around the 18db lowpass filter.

Nice to hear from the man himself

In my research I found the Synthi was actually released in 2 different versions- the older version had the 18db filters and the newer had the 24db. I really wanted to use an 18db, as you suggest, because many Synthi owners believe this version sounds better. The thing to keep in mind about both filters is that they self-resonate. Problem is, there is no 18db/oct self-resonating filter in MODIII. So.. the newer 24db/oct version won out

If you could make a newer version of the Trapezoid generator available that would be perfect. Would it be possible to include a 1-cycle feature so it could also act like a trapezoidal envelope generator? This would really make the Synthi emulation more accurate because it would emulate the "manual" setting on the original. This way I could get rid of the ADSR which is really the most glaring inaccuracy in my clone. Besides, that would just be another cool feature of an already great module

Now tell me- did you have the Synthi in mind when you created those modules?

It's related to Flexor modules, the message has a spelling error, the real file should be ABXFLX.dsp and should be in dsp folder if you have installed Flexor.
