Hi all
I had a problem a while ago with PCI Overload msgs, eventually fixed by switching to single computer mode on Win XP SP2.
Now I bought the A-100 reverb, which sounds fantastic, BUT I can't use it as it usually causes a PCI msg when I load it. It was a good excuse to buy a 14 dsp scope booster card, but this has not made any difference. I have a P2, a Luna, and the booster (23 or 24 dsps, depending how you look at it).

I amusing Ableton Live 4.04 and Sonar 3.1.1. Very clean setup re. plugins.

Has anyone got a fix? The George Breese VIA fixer doesn't work on SP2. I have ASRock, P4, 3GHz, 1 gig ram.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance! PS I have done all the fixes and had it working for ages, until the A-100.

I saw three letters: VIA

Are you using a VIA chipset MOBO? If so, just sack it and get one with a decent Intel chipset. I do not think you'll be able to acheive the required bandwidth with a VIA chipset MOBO, unfortunately.

Royston

edit: I originally had a VIA chipset MOBO myself (some Chaintech thing IIRC). It was cheap! The most recent VIA "3-in-1 drivers" did help somewhat (i.e. they actually allowed audio streaming of any kind to take place) but ultimately, I had to swallow the bitter pill and lay out some £££s for a more suitable MOBO. Since then, I have been running Scope glitch-free.
