Problem with Modular V2

i am trying to automate the mod wheel on the MW Triangle LFO. i assigned it to the mod wheel on my keyboard, and recorded a track in cubase, with the write enabled. i then played it back with the read enabled, and it didn't record the automation?

is the mod wheel not automatable? i tried recording other automation movements, such as the cutoff frequency on the multimode filter b, and it works fine... any ideas?

___crisis___1, have you checked Cubase's MIDI record and thru settings? I suspect it's excluded there from recording.

ok, maybe i didn't explain it as well as i thought in my last post.

i have midi channel 1 in cubase, sending the midi data. i have the modular recieving the midi data on channel 1. so, cubase, midi chl 1, modular, midi chl 1. so, it has nothing to do with wrong channels. the modular is recieving midi data just fine, as well as midi cc data.

as i said in my last post, i assigned a few knobs, as well as the mod wheel, to different items on the modular. when i set the mod wheel, of the mw triangle lfo, to a knob or my mod wheel on my keyboard, it doesn't record the automation in cubase. however, when i set the knobs or the mod wheel on my keyboard to other functions of the modular, the automation works fine.

so, basically what is happening, is the automation is working just fine with everything but the mod wheel of the mw triangle lfo module, in the modular 2 device.

make sense?

my main question is, has anyone else had this problem? or does anyone know if the mod wheel on that module is even automatable?

i don't see a reason for it not to be, if i am able to asign it?

can someone do me a favor?

i need one of you to pull up the modular v2, create a simple patch... such as the:

modular2/tutorials/tutorial1/part2.mdl patch

and assign the mod wheel on the mw triangle lfo to a controller on your keyboard. then attempt to record some automation and see if it works?

(please make sure to play it back after recording it to make sure it does the automation you just recorded)

the reason i ask to play it back, is cause when i was recording the automation, everything sounded fine, the knob moved the mod wheel just like it was supposed to... it just didn't do it when i played it back thru again.

hope this all makes sense...
