There is a new way to use the internet. It is called podcasting. You subsribe to a growing list of audio shows (I think they are free) and then they are automatically and periodically downloaded to your ipod or ipod-like device so you can listen later. This is going to be revolutionary.

Adum Curry seems to be the one who started that
(he's a dutchie, but I'm not really a fan of him).
everyone his own radiostation, recorded with your labtop in your car or where-ever you are (if you have a built-in mike), with mp3 music from the same labtop ...
Or a new way for weblogging, as lurker you don't have to read and there's music also

There are also some big organizations getting behind it such as NPR. I personally love a lot of their content especially "This American Life".

Just an update since I posted originally the amount of podcasts have grown from 2,000 to 7,000 and Apple iTunes now offers podcasts. Apple says that within 48 hours of its release, people had subscribed to more than a million podcasts. I'm starting my own podcast soon featuring ambient music.

Usually these sites also just have a list of MP3s you can listen to "as normal" too yes ? Or do some of them operate in a different dopwnload way only ?

I liked the idea of this site "one minute vacations":

Many sites have a normal mp3 download but if they don't offer one (because they want you to subscribe), you can click on the feed and copy the url of the mp3 and paste it in your browser. If you don't see it check the source code.
