Has anybody noticed that in the TripleLE page they're using the old Scope logo in the routing window?

I've made a quick comparison between the original Osiris ( re-installed Win98...
) and the cheapo Algorithmic line of products.
Imho it's (the OLD version) fairly similiar to the SoundLaundry classic edition sold for $229, but I had the (subjective) impression that Triple didn't make the best use of the PIV/Intel865 combo.
[edit]
loaded the CWA mp3 examples into the OLD Osiris since it's easy to compare the result the OLD plugin yields on the source material (first part of file) with CWA's results of the new Osiris (last part of file).
There is in fact a noticable difference - hope they didn't cheat...
THIS TIME they picked an excellent demo tune - a ratteling snare on vinyl, that must have given the algo something to frown on
I didn't manage to get the snare as pronounced as in CWA's results, regardless what I tried.
Same for a certain bar in the 'Imagine' piano - 3 faint clicks remained while theirs was completely free.
[/edit]
Algorithmix are (of course) aware of their product/price range and have placed the new version of Osiris accordingly between their > 1k professional and the < 300 multimedia line.
You don't get the complete package for a third of the cost...
Some functionality and some graphic stuff is missing, but processing is said to have improved significantly since the original version was released - with the emphasis on realtime application in 'Restore'.
They are familiar with Sharc programming but for precision sake preferred to stick with their optimized native code. Think about it - restoration isn't exactly audio processing...
Considering this, the 'Restore' bundle looks like a pretty good value, but system architecture looks somewhat obscure.
I've downloaded the TripleLE software and it turned out as a complete Scope setup.
Maybe it's intended like a 'dual-boot' OS, then it should be no problem to have a copy of every device in the respective folder of the TripleLE system.
For my use 16 tracks (8 stereo's) would be sufficient to work on, as I could downmix from any number of tracks in VDAT
cheers, Tom

Could you run your Scope projects in the TripleLE software?

it is supposed to exactly behave like SFP, but a few devices like the STS samplers and Modular are currently misbehaving - CWA is working on that, according to a phone call.
Probably it's focused on buyers of the bundle, so those get a system out of the box.
The 'others' who already own an SFP setup could just copy their devices over into the new directory structure.
I wouldn't hold my breath on that it interprets original (existing) project data properly, though
as usual, an upgrade path to the XP version was mentioned, but not specified - same about the release date of the 'full' version, except a 'definetely this year', giving them some 340 days left...
cheers, Tom
