I was tidying up a little custom modular device I'd built for a current piece of music yesterday (i.e. re-shuffling the modules about to make the wiring a bit tidier).

What I found was every time I moved a module such that it wasn't being 'dropped' into a space, but on top of other modules, the UI completely hung. I could still play music, but the UI was locked solid. The Windows task manager no longer saw SFP.exe as a running application (but it was still running as a process).

Mod II never nehaved like this - under the above circumstances, the other modules would "shuffle around" to make space for the module being moved. This BUG occurs 100% reliably on my system.

Does this occur in Mod III for anybody else?

Royston - yes, it's a bug in the Mod3 shell.. doesn't always happen but it can. It's best to use a Mod2 shell (you can still use Mod3 modules). Obviously you lose the new-style preset list but at least it's stable.

There are 2 versions of M2, the second one has the new preset list.

Ah, cheers guys!

Not sure which version of the Mod II shell I'm using...should be fairly easy to check, though (I don't often use presets in modular...)
