I recently got Red Drum and some of the presets require use of this object - does anyone have it and how do you use it ?

It's a module of the Modular, in C:SFPModular2 ModulesPool

It is just a module to keep samples inside a patch.

Hi,

The sample pool has to be loaded into the ProjectWindow along with the synth that it is to be used with...then, when you select the presets that use the pool, they just load the samples right from the pool, instead of a disk location such as C:/Scope/Samples/ etc.
The sample pool loads all samples into RAM (as far as I understand it).
The few presets using the DMX sample pool from Ben Walker were created pointing to the samples in the pool, so it has to be loaded for the presets to find the samples.

Any device in the ProjectWindow can use the samples in the pool, Also, it's a very convenient way to share sample collections, without having to locate the samples in the same directory/path as the originals, as far as loading properly with presets.

Hope that clears things up a bit...
regards,

In other words, just drag it into the project window & put it somewhere out of the way
