As Lima said, yeah, the pattern editor will accept CC commands with pattern effect 90.
More commonly though I'd summon up what Renoise calls a "meta device" - a box with a set of sliders with a CC to enter for each slider to control, and draw an automation curve for each of the sliders, or move them in real time whilst recording the results as automation (or they can be mapped to an external MIDI controller as you might expect).
That's great, but Logic (and other "traditional" sequencers) can already take care of that part pretty well

I was thinking more of say, precise editing of a filter being fed hihats, I'd want to be able to edit/change the values quickly to try different things etc. I can do this in Logic, but it's all tedious mouse-driven (I almost wrote drivel

) stuff, and a tracker interface would make alot more sense. Same for editing alot of other kind of parameters.
Recording automation as it's being tweaked live is great and I do it all the time, but the only problem with it is it's fairly continuous

Sometimes it's fun to be able to change to different values instantly and run the result thru a delay and so on.
I guess there's the Event List editor, but.. meh.. argh. I want my tracker racetracks! It's simply not the same if I can't bet on channel 3's volume nibble (unrelated to previously mentionned Nibbles) winning over channel 5's E32 effect parameter.
Too bad it's not built into Nuendo and Logic and things. In like 10-15 years, someone's gonna wake up and be all like "NEW EXCLUSIVE FEATURE: TRACKER STYLE EDITING." Gotta leave them a bit of time to catch up
Anyway, downloading the Renoise demo version now!
