Hello,

This is more or less a system I've decided on:
Middle Tower A-Open 300 watt>ASUS P3B P4 motherboard with USB>Intel P4 1700Hhz +cooler>512MB sdRAM>Nvidea Riva TNT2 16MB AGP graphics card>IBM 40GB hard disk 7200rpm>Lite-On 16x10x40 speed CD-RW>Sony Floppy Drive>Logitech Internet keyboard>Logitech scrollmouse>CTX PR705F Dig. Monitor.
If I spend a little extra money I can get myself a Neovo F15, LCD Flat Panel Screen, which seems quite cool. Concerning the graphics card, Creamware suggest a Matrox G450 32 MB. The person putting my system together for me doesn't understand why. He seems to think you don't need something that sophisticated unless you were doing high level Video stuff, which I won't be doing. I am, however, prepared to spend the extra money if needs be. I should state though that the Dell PIII 450 I am currently using has a 3D Rage Pro 8MB card and it has served me well. Creamware also say that they haven't as yet thoroughly tested a Pentium IV system. So should I be going for a Pentium IV system when a Pentium III might be a "safer" option? The person building my system for me says go for the P IV.
Any constructive comments/opinions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I´d also taken the Matrox because it doesn´t need to be explicit graphics stuff making a dual monitor-setup a sensible decision...
And also I´d rather taken a P3 or an Athlon-based system because you save a lot of money then and working with pulsar does not require the fastest CPU available, it´s more or less independent from CPU-power. I run my pulsars (21 DSPs) on an P3/500, that´s easily enough power for this purpose even with VST and some more tasks running at the same time. If you´ve got a P4 going that fast, you´re probably better off using the VST-environment for main producing and the pulsar just for some few extras...
