In a recent e-mail conversation with Wolf Roth, managing director of Creamware, I was informed that Creamware has many other avenues of income:

"Until now, we have been quite successful in finding partners thanks to the Scope architecture. On one hand we introduced the next editor generation for audio broadcast incl. audio database, event recording and cartwall modules - you will find more info looking after CUTmaster on our website including some of our references within that field.

On the other hand, our systems are already used within the Fairlight Dream Consoles for effects processing, within Stagetech casmix routers to operate 128 x 128 stereo channels
for mixing in theatres and live hall(powered by 6 parallel Scope professional boards)and you will Scope within the translation and conference systems of Braehler ICS, who are mixing up to 1,200 mic channels of i.e. parliaments with Scope systems.

Another field is metereing and measurement,as used i.e. by the AUDI laboratories or also by Harman Becker Automotive within car sound design."

So you can see that Creamware is not just sitting around worrying about the Music recording industry, they are putting thier fingers in many pies.

In Fairlaight there are native CW pluins or XTC (VST)?

I'm pretty sure they must use some kind of custom integration of SFP/Scope.. XTC is just a wrapping system anyway. I doubt they would want to introduce latency into their system.

Selling to radio stations and high end recording studios might be a good idea for Creamware but it will only mean there will be less attention paid to us. We will see a drastic slowdown for platform releases. Since they give those away, it will be way down on the priority list. I don't buy the synergy theory. It reminds me of the republicans trickle down theory of giving tax breaks to wealthy people.

braincell, as stated earlier, music hardware/software has been a second segment for quite some time, and isnt even CWs main income (as far as i could interpet it). They have been involved in the broadcasting for quite some time now, which is where they make their ends meet.
