Re: Freedevice MIX STRIP CS15
The wow & flutter is the missing piece to make a DSP virtual synth, like i.e. Prodyssey or Minimax, in something more like the real thing. I noticed, in time, that the Prodyssey sounds very close to the real one (Korg Odyssey) but lacks a little bit of filter section "unpredictability"...

Re: Freedevice MIX STRIP CS15
That could be very very cool as new improved version or even as a standalone effect!dawman wrote: (...) If there was a way to add a rate/speed parameter for the Wow/flutter effect it would be
an incredible Tape Flange. (...)
Many thanks Peter for this beauty.

Re: Freedevice MIX STRIP CS15
Phantastic, this is exactly wat I was looking for!dawman wrote:Really juicy fat chorusing effect using the Wow/Flutter feature.
On a scale of 1-127(MIDI) use 20-30 for minimum, then 65-75 for maximum and attach a switch or button, use it like a stompbox and get some sweet sounds.

Re: Brief description of MIX-STRIP CS15
I'm very curious about the wow & flutter effect... it's a while that I'm looking for something to "vintagegelize" my soft synths like a proper tape effect.

Re: MSI Z87-G43 PCI performance fails compared to similar AS
My problem (now solved) was the Scope Pro first generation... with a very bad PCI performance.
I just put the Luna II as master and everything went good.

Re: Looking for the Scope 4.0 original installer
well, at now I'm unable to install 4.5 in Windows 7 32bit...
After manual drivers installing (the installer says that is manual required) I cannot proceed to the next step.
Any hint about this?

Re: New HW analogue/hybrid synth GAS...
From the Analogue Solution website: This synth has no memories – Advantages - None of the parameters or controls are quantised. So when you turn a knob, you are turning a resistor that affects a real analogue circuit. - Because each parameter is not under solid CPU control, each parameter has that t...

Re: New HW analogue/hybrid synth GAS...
The flatness sensation that the contemporary synths give us is mainly because of the DSP effects at the end of the sound chain. For example is notorious for the passionate that the Alesis Andromeda sounds flat and almost poor (the infamous "meh" effect...) at the main output but very nice ...

Re: New HW analogue/hybrid synth GAS...
And of course every analog synth you listed should be heard/recorded not with a DI but through an amplification and speaker miking, to achieve the proper classic sound of the glorious '70. Especially for classic raw mono synths. (but valid also for i.e. softsynths and scope synths. There is no a rea...

Re: New HW analogue/hybrid synth GAS...
Pay attention of the Korg MS20 Mini and rack, that features the original Korg filter that has some noise in background, and some people are upset by this. I like it because is original , but in a modern digital DAW production gives some troubles... Today people are more use to synths with mastered p...

Re: New HW analogue/hybrid synth GAS...
Honestly, I always liked the Odysey, but currently for £750... I think that the Dominion1 gives much more for £950. Modular I/O, 4 voices paraphonic, arpeggiator, sequencer, patch saving/recall, full size keys, build quality, etc. And the sound seems to be in the same league. I'm pretty sure that th...

Re: New HW analogue/hybrid synth GAS...
Full midi automation for real analog is always very tricky for 2 reasons: 1) the price: every pot should be converted to digital 2) for the reason 1, often, the producer decides for that hateful endless rotary encoders, that cancel all the feeling touch of the real thing. IMO the midi for the keys a...
