Update: Minimax ASB is shipping

The first Minimax ASB are on their way now to the top stores of the world and will be available for testing and take away. The sound is extremely fat, the outfit precious and the knobs perfect in handling. We've had a lot of fun in this development and sure you will feel it while playing the Minimax ASB. And how life goes - when the eye candy met the excellent tone, they decided to setup a family and are expecting offspring already in autumn. Please note that due to high demand, there may be certain delivery time during the next couple of weeks.

SO who is buying ONE?

Well, I've felt all along they should market their synths and make Scope secondary. When they used to market Scope as an all-in-one, big, bloated, package, nobody was interested. This is going to be a really good move for them.

Wish I could buy one...

I guess it depends on who you ask... having moved through tons of hardware, including very top end rare stuff, I'm getting a Scope card BECAUSE it is a big, bloated all-in-one...

after reading Andre post again I realized that he noted 3D model and not 3rd.

I misread that sorry andre.

But still CWA promised a series of these boxes so the next few months will show what the 3rd unit will be.

You read my mind, but i've given up on that happening i'm afraid (still don't own SCOPE Prodyssey), but for live stuff it would be great. Would be nice if they could put some rubber PPC pads too, but that isn't going to happen (how about a ribbon strip instead CreamWare?).

Mr.Arkadin,
Thanks for your Emerson C3 preset. I use a PRO3T for my B2003 with full stop on. Tarkus never sounded so good.
I want Creamware to succeed in their efforts with these new products for two reasons. The first : I think their synth algo's deserve to succeed. I've been playing hardware since 1975, and know 1:1 when I hear it. The second reason: PCI must mature. So for me it's a no brainer. Minimax ASB will cover my vintage needs. But I will still be using my Oberheim XPander. I've yet to hear anything in VSTi or DSP that comes close. I hope that CREAMWARE will recoup their R&D costs on ASB emulations, and build something along the lines of KYMA or SOLARIS!! Then they can go OP on the NYSE.

Yes, i suppose you'd have to have two versions of Prodyssey under the bonnet, one poly and one duo (mono could be achieved with polyphony at one). Also switching between presets would probably then be really slow as you'd effectively be reloading the DSP everytime for each mode.

Celmo's BlueWave has exactly that...
it may look humble from surface and features, but don't be fooled... sorry, couldn't resist [/ads]

an Odyssey emulation must of course support duo-phonic mode, otherwise it couldn't be called authentic

I stand in line with Mr. A to fight for the 2nd voice - and I definetely would buy it.
As a schoolboy I couldn't afford the original, and now here's my chance... but it got to have sliders with colored rubber tips, just for that cool look

Are the presets the same as the Scope version? If there are moe could Creamware post 'em for download for Scope users?
