this is a 90 sec thing I did using the Vorb and SX. The main synth is the Vaz Modular.

Yeah, this was really clever stuff and great little groove. I didn't understand a lot of the vocoded vocals - but it didn't matter because the melody was so good...
Delicious Tech-pop... very smart stuff

Thanks blgrace.... It is hard to get the balance between the vocoder and real vocal right. I tried re-recording the vocals a number of times and 'emphasising' the vowels.

Yeah, I know what it's like - have tried it a few times myself. I have ended up with up to 4 tracks and various pannings, all mono, just for vocals to try and make them more understandable. Which vocoder are you using?

In any case - I still think the melody is strong enough for it not to really matter - unless you want to give the vocoder a miss?
