When 0dBFS is reached on the mixer what is the voltage value reference of the analogue output.I keep getting 0dBu on my outboard mixer.Shouldn't it be about +24dBu? if I'm not mistaken.
Could someone decipher that please.
Thx!

What i/o card or convertor are you using ?
Balanced or Unbalanced ?

OK, you're running unbalanced->unbalanced.
So according to the Luna/2496 specifications the nominal output level is -10 dB, and the maximum output level is 0 dB. (I don't have the specifications on "classic" i/o plate, but I assume they're the same.)
Compare that to the balanced connections on A16 Ultra:
Nominal output level + 4 dB
Maximum output level + 20 dB

I'm told that these days, you have to send the card back in to get the I/O plate replaced. Apparently they are issues that can arise if you slap on the wrong one (I guess they were updated at some point).

Though take this with a grain of salt as I heard this from the same person who told me that multiple STD/M cables didn't affect the amount of internal connections you can make.

Damn if I can remember who it was who told me that. Anyway, I'd call the Tech Support staff and get the straight dope.
