Hi,
First time poster and a newbie (noob) at pc music. I bought and installed Luna II card with the latest software (1c) on my celeron 1.3, 320mb mem, 80 gig (8 mem) HD running win XP and cubase sx and 5.0.

I mainly need to record midi from my keyboard, and audio from my four track.

I after some fiddling with the Luna, finily got audio to work and midi sound to come out, however for midi, there is a huge delay from the time I press the key on the keyborad to the time I hear the note from my pc.

1. I am not sure what settings I need to look at in Luna II software
2. I am not sure what settings to look at in cubase
3. I am wondering if the latency is because of processor speed?

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you.

In cubase you have to choose the Creamware ASIO driver, and in your sfp projet add asio2 32-64 src and asio2-64 dest modules.

Also, you can check in sfp setting for the ULLI panel, set it to around 7ms for a start. If you system still run stable, you can try to lower it step by step...

7ms is already pretty fast. The latency you're feeling comes from the wdm drivers, they are not really fast. The asio driver a very fast thou, down to 1ms if you wish!

Great, I will try to suggestions. So, anything I can do about the WDM latency? Would getting a faster cpu/more mem help?

Thanks.
