Can anybody help me out on this one please!
Every time I export audiofiles to wave format
in cubase 5.0 I lose connection with the Pulsar1 card. I get a nasty digital crack in
the monitors, the audio is lost and the wavefile contains no data. The settings are ok, I reinstalled drivers, cubase and sfp3.1 but nothing seems to work!
Importing is working and everything is functioning untill I try to export.

it has always been my impression that you aren't able to export a wave file when using sfp. If you want to, you have to record it out to an external program like wavelab, ...

Just set up the routing of your pulsar mixer to a wave output and then activate the record function in the external program. Then just play your mix from cubase and there you go!

Yes Valium is right.

You can export wave files only if you have an XTC board installed, the only way to "Export" is setting a new track in cubase, add a routing in SFP for that track and press record.

Maybe I understood something wrong but I export all my music tracks with Cubase.
When I use SFP Synths in a project I record the midi track in Cubase of course and route the audio signal to a ASIO Bus.
Now the SFP Synth(s) are editable in the Cubase Mixer, I can add any VST effect.
Once I´m ready to mixdown the whole track I record all SFP Synths to the cohesive (asio track/bus) in Cubase.
After I mastered the tracks I mixdown them with the VST Master to mp3, wav or whatever using the UV-22 dither to the finshed 16 bit file.

Both Valium and Chris are right - both methods lead to the same mixdown: if you want to mixdown in Cubase - first you have to record all the stuff from your Pulsar to Cubase. Then all audio could be mixed down in a standard manner. If you used Logic - there are 2 options for mixdown - one is online one offline (or so). If you don't want to record the Pulsar stuff you have to mioxdown in 'online mode' that way all the external gear records in a realtime while 'offline' mixdown is the same as in Cubase - only recorded stuff (or stuff from VSTi) can be recorded. ProTools owners have only the 'online' bouncing/mixdown option.

the problem than in my case?
I found out I can export by routing the tracks to the cubase master but this sounds not so good.
Is there a way to route the audio seperately
and get a good sound? I record the pulsareffects in cubase.

I´ve routed 24 ASIO Channels each pair on one Bus for Cubase. For Example ASIO 23/24 is Bus 12. And all ASIO Tracks in the Cubase Mixer are routed to the Cubase Master.
It is not easy to solve such problems when I don´t look on your monitor. But maybe this can help you.
