Could any1 give me step by step instructions on routing a virus synth through pulsar so that I can use pulsar effects on the virus soundset. I have all the sounds(audio tracks and virus midi) working live through cubase and my monitors but I cannot get the virus sounds through the Pulsar. Please Help.

I am really stuck as I cannot figure this out, I am sure the virus is running through my soundcard but cannot see it as a track on the pulsar mixer

How have you set up your physical cables? And what is on your Routing window?

Physical:
Connect analog output from Virus to analog input of Pulsar (RCA connectors if you have Classic version)

Routing Window:
Add Hardware i/o -> Pulsar analog source to your project and draw lines (if it doesn't happen automatically) to any of your mixer's channels.

That's it.

I knew I was a novice but I didnt realise how much of a novice. Thanks a lot mate I was just running through an analogue mixer, now I realise there was no phisical contact between the virus and pulsar except via midi

Cheers

Second question?
I am running through the pulsar from the virus can I split the individual channels in cubase into channels in pulsar and process each virus channel/sound individually or do I have to process the overall sounds.

bus it out of cubase - you will need to increase the amount of channels in your asio source module to whatever you have in cubase, and assign them to different busses.

busses? ASIO? then...Yorkeire took his manual, and the night was long.
After that he got it all.
Then he was a happy man
