Hello!
I have not recorded any audio for the past 2 weeks or so, so I dont know when this problem really started to happen...anyway... The problem:
I disable the "Master" option on the transport window and start to record audio from Bar 1.1 (from the start of the project). Then I record in another audio channel from Bar 1.1. Everything is in sync (the 2 tracks between them and in relation to the metronome).
But when I start playback from another point and not from the start of the project the audio still keeps in time but doesnt relate AT ALL to the drawings in the project/arrangment window.
I then record another audio track. I find its start point with my ear and NOT with the graphics on the screen, since these do not relate to what I hear. Everything is in sync when I play back but still the images DO NOT relate AT ALL to what I hear. I then press the MASTER button on the transport and everything is horrribly out of sync, plus all the clips have changed positions and everything is a mess. When I depress the MASTER button (so its unlight again), everything is in sync aurally but the sound does not relate to the visuals again.

This has never happened before to me. What could be its cause? What can I do to overcome this problem? Has anybody experienced something similar? Or knows what could it be?

I have posted to the cubase forum but got no reply yet.
Any help appreciated!

if you click on Master, the tempo of your song is determined by the Masterlist, see the Edit main Menu.
Default mostly is 120 BPM, so if your song has a different BPM, you get your hardfiled audio tracks out of sinc with the Midi tracks which follow the new tempo.
And the audiotracks doesn't fit the time/measure scale of the sequencer.
hope this helps

Hello and thanks for replying hubird!

Well, what you describe is not actually my problem...it is not actually a problem... the problem I was having is that the visuals were not coinciding with the music (it applied to both audio and midi).

I uninstalled and reinstalled SX and now everything seems to work fine again!

...aw, these computers!!...

so also your midi notes visually don't seem to coincide with what you hear?
If that's so, clock seems to be involved.
sorry, I can't help you with that, I hope someone else can
