Hi,
I have SONY Minidisc deck with OPTICAL OUT and COAX IN. Is it possible to use optical and coax together (minidisc optical OUT to Pulsar Adat IN and Pulsar coax OUT to minidisc coax IN) ?

Because little problem is, that ADAT as Toslink works on Pulsar I in SLAVE mode only.

I would like to have 4 inputs and 4 outputs.

Thanks
Peter

Hello Peter,

I work with minidisc, too. And after some bad experiences with the Pulsar coax in, I'm working now with the optical input, when I draw some tracks from minidisc to computer. I've made some little projects for these simple recordings. And when you always set Pulsar to slave if you use ADAT in, you'll have no problems.
Good recording!

As far as I know, you can't use ADAT & SP/DIF simultaneously without a Sync Plate

adat and sp/dif together is fine.it's optical and coax sp/dif that cannot be combined....also,the optical sp/dif only works as slave because the minidisc only works as master(typically)....

Thanks Thomas and the others,
Should I have any problems with switching my Pulsar I into Slave mode ?

Problems with quality of the sound or synchronization etc ?

Don't know anything about losing quality or syncronization or so.
