I recorded 2 mono tracks at 96/32 and then added a stereo track at 96/32. When I play the mix back the 2 mono tracks bleep in and out of the mix at an octive higher in addition to playing regularly. That is, tracks 1 and 2 play back but additionally I hear the octive bleeps at random. This effect only happens when I play the stereo track along with the mono tracks.
Can anyone help?

Sounds like it could be phase cancellation, are the tracks the same?

It has something to do with the way nuendo is playing back the stereo interleaved track. When I solo the 3rd. track which has the stereo wave, the octived bleeps(I'm not making this up) from the mono tracks 1 and 2 are spoadically interspersed with the playback of track 3.
