this has an open, travelling sort of feel, would be nice for driving the Nullarbor Plain.

No, it is not a sts5000 effect at 1.17. Those clarinet are 'one take' plain recorded into vdat. The effect is 'Ohmforce's OhmboyZ', a Multitap-Dual-Filtered-Feedback-Delay.

I LOVE this effect, and i can't reproduce it in Modular3, and i tried! So for those creative mind here, if you can reproduce it, i'll be happy!

You're definitely surprising every time you post a new song, Marc.

One suggestion: Bring down the volume of the Bass clarinet tracks about 4 db (maybe 3 db and add more reverb for space)and compress a tad more. See how that sounds and let me know.

Ok, cool, i'll try that, volume, 3-4db less, ok.

But i tough it was already compressing alot...I record thru Celmo's X-Machine, the compressor was set to a 5:1 ratio, threshold to -20db attack to 0.095ms release to 0.08ms

Anyway, i'll try some more compressor...

The kind of balance I am talking about can be heard in Robinson Crusoe by Art of Noise. Nice Bass Clarinet in that tune..

I liked this one a lot. The initial bassline reminded me a bit of Kraftwerk's Autobahn, then the hypnotic lines of the clarinet had a slight Philip Glass feel. Later I imagined a weird trio playing this live in a cocktail bar in the year 2010.

Smooth and unusual, and quite thoughtful. Maybe with more silky production I could listen to (and buy) a whole album of this style.

very well done, marcus! like spirit, i'm a fan as well. when comparing this to your other new (clarinet) track, it is the space in this tune that works really well. the other song might be overdoing it a bit.

keep it up.
expect some similar stuff from the band i'm in (the first project with other people i'm in AND i feel good about in years ). it also has clarinet, bass, guitar and electronics, and a bit of trumpet. it's nice to not have a drummer

Ok, this is third version, reduced volume of clarinet, and did new takes of all bass clarinet track except rythm clarinet track with more compression like Paul suggested to replace old takes

Same song, but enhanced...
