Subject: Re: Anyone been to the Messe and picked up the Volkszämpler?

Hi,

i am just coming home from the musikmesse and have seen both XTC and the Volkssampler. The sampler is still in beta so the are going to send it to me in the next month. Everybody had to leave their address and some infos to get a registration code. The sampler is nearly the same as the power sampler. It has lots of outputs in the VST-Mixer. Also it has three filter types with a resonace that goes up to 128. So the filter section is far better than in my sts-4000.
XTC in general looks quite uncomplicated.

Subject: Seems promising

Too bad it isn't finished yet, but it does look promising. Hopefully it will be included in the XTC update for the Pulsar II.

Some people don't understand why I also want a "native processed" STS sampler when I already have an STS-4000. But the Volkszämpler will give me the possibility to use the 6 DSP's for effects mainly. And some effects, especially good reverbs, use a lot of DSP power. It would be a lot cheaper solution than buying an SRB to expand DSP power.
