What I have done ?
Imported the mp3 directly in Cubase, spread the stereo a little more(stereo spread insert),that boost the volume a little too.
Then I had to reduce the track volume because the tracks starts to clip, I reduced the volume aprox. -6db.
Then I had enough db´s left to add a EQ and boost the frequences at 3.6kHz ,8000-20000 Hz and reduced a little bass.
As the last effects I add the Wave Surround Reverb to give the track a "new" room. The Reverb is used as an send effect and influence the track by 10percent only.
The Reverb adds nice high frequences you can compare it best at the drumless part.

As mastereffects I add another EQ but decided to sitch it off again, finally I let the L1 boost the track to the limit.

I´m not 100% satisfied with the result, the bass sounds a little dim now, the only way to get a better result is to do a "live" mastering/automation with the track to open or close the reverb and EQ at severeal times or just to do a new mastering with the single tracks.

Anyway I was not able to get the result I want and the org. track maybe sounds better balanced but it would be nice to hear your results after you compared the two files.
