Again, this is a recreation of a vintage string machine of the 70s (Remember the Solina, the Crumar Performer?). Why? because I'm crazy about the sound of those old machines, especially through analog phasers like the Electro Harmonix Small Stone or the Boss PH-1/2.
This patch is more realistic than the first one I posted the past year. First, the chorus section is done by pitch modulating the oscillators, each with its own triangle LFO. Also, there is a random signal generator that you can use to modulate the pitch and the oscillators phase. I choosed Unknow OSCs instead of sawtooth (for the main ones) because with them you can modulate the OSC phase. This can give a realistic "unstable" character to them.
Second, there is a poly filter since, believe or not, is less DSP intensive than the multimode filter of the modular. With a Pulsar 2 you can get 8 voices easily.
Of course, this is not just for string machine sounds, tweaking the presets (or creating new ones) it gives you cool analog sounded synth too (like the preset Brass 2)
I hope you like it.
