...if you install your Pulsar II with the Pulsar XTC CD Rom? Would that be possible? Would it function like an Pulsar XTC? Would the in- and outputs be disabled? Just curious...

I don't know what to expect. That's what I was wondering about. Perhaps I should ask my CW dealer if he can provide me with a Pulsar XTC installation CD Rom and then see what happens...

My whole set-up is based on Cubase VST/32 5.0R4. I've got VST/DirectX effects, VST Instruments, and Reason. They all integrate very well. But my Pulsar II effects and instruments don't integrate as well as those. Although they are also software, they handle the same as hardware effects and instruments when it comes to recording them on audio tracks in Cubase VST. Just too much hassle for me. So I hope the XTC interface will integrate the Pulsar effects and instruments as well as VST/DirectX plugins.

of course for you this xtc mode makes sense.
but cakewalk lacks the asio driver support and vst interface, and i´m more the rocking guitarist

than the programming synth-freak, so my working environment is more based around the pulsar project window, with the sequencer just for sequencing and as a tape machine.
i´d rather had seen creamware developing the w2k-support earlier. but this is only my point of view, cubase users (and most pulsar users will be) might not agree...

Although there is a good chance the XTC cd will work with any 'normal' Pulsar, I would suggest you just wait for V3 to come out (should be pretty soon now, I would guess...) as it'll come with XTC and 2k drivers (or is supposed to), and I imagine they'll tweak it a bit more before then, so you'll end up with a less buggy product (not saying the current XTC is buggy, but usually they don't call it the bleeding edge for nothin'

)
