this should be a cheap version of the advanced orchestra, but can anyone tell me precisely what are the programs contained??
are the strings organized in combi (violins+viola+celli+bass altogether) or there are different programs for the different string sections (and the variations staccato, ff,pp, detache.. etc are for each of the instruments!)
what about brass and woodwinds?
what are the differenced between this library and the advanced orchestra compact edition??
please, is very urgent!
need info about ProSamples vol.11 sample cd...
Advanced Orchestra light:
Contents: Strings ff & mp (sustained, tremolo, con sordino, staccato, pizzicato), Brass & Woodwinds ff & mp (stacatto, sustained); Orchestral Percussion, Harp.
take care at the prices: from 120-274 €
obviously the original version is marketed by a lot of sources.
For realistic strings I'd prefer the Garitan's lite. Mostly because of the Maestro application, which gives access to the different playing modes of the instruments. It's way superior to the regular sample approach. Worth checking, but of course only if realism matters.
Just for the 'orchstral / classical instruments effect' the old EMU Orchestral Proteus samples perform great, seriously.
An extremely well tuned complete orchestra at a ridiculous 8 MB memory amount.
Marketed in the ModuleMania series in SF2 format. They converted to STS without problems, btw the only soundfont I found this was worth the effort.
If it's urgent I could mail you a sample to check out.
cheers, tom
