Do you know any place you can create a private forum? I need to create one to deal with some friends, all we need is a public place to talk, being able to storage our messages, that’s is. Nothing special, no HTML, no upload or download facilities needed, just to be able to talk. What do you recommend to do? Is there a solution in Yahoo, or MSN or something like that? Cheers.

You could create a group on
http://groups.yahoo.com/ , but they do have some advertising... You can send to the group by posting via html or mail program. They keep all old messages in a list, you can have reports sent to your mailbox, upload 30MB files if u wish, create a links page, do polls etc.
If you're looking for something faster, maybe you find a simpler text type newsgroup or logged chatbox.

Hey, just got an idea. I was about to write a message that would have hold some 'confidential' info. But then I thought "No, I won't because anyone can read it. These forums are even read by Google!"
So, would it be a bad idea to have a "private" forum here, just for registered members? And so that you have to log in to be able to read it.
Okay, not a bullet-proof solution, but would prevent at least Google from reading them

And an occasional visitor.

Thanks Chris, this is nice of you, but everything is in German and I need it for some Spanish speakers, so I’d better stick to the Yahoo groups. Thanks anyway…
