Can You send me SFP project setup which work with 2448
mixer and 16 ADAT I/O.
I am a novice and still don't know to set up Pulsar 2
with Behringer ext,mix. console via ADAT. Need
talkback function too so can You help me to find what
module to load and where to connect to make talkback
useful via AC97 onboard card or using my Behringer
DDX3216 mixer (witouth talkback) (somebody tell me
something to use control room for talk back but I
don't know who and don't know how).
BTW can I connect behringer ddx3216 s/pdif out to Pulsar AES/EBU input or vice versa without any converter?

hi Stelibo,

I'm afraid you must get through this, a readymade project wouldn't really help because there's a corresponding setup on the Behringer required.
At least some people on this forum use the same mixer, so you're not alone in case you're completely stuck.
A device of that complexity can't be mastered in a week by a beginner, so don't worry and start it step by step.
Learning by doing is the best approach anyway, you'll never forget what you worked out and it makes you really good finally.

The easiest way to start would be to replace the Pulsar mixer by the Behringer. That way you'll get used to it and may add functions as needed.
The understanding of routing takes some time, but is essential to operate the device. Once you succeed it works like a charm.
I'd put channels with a lot of fader action on the Behringer while others which remain more or less fixed on software mixer.
To operate 2 full blown mixers parallel might become totally confusing.
The setup would be rather simple:
your current mixer's in channels go to Adat out 1-16 --> Behringer.
The Behringer's Adat outs --> Pulsar Adat in 1-16 like direct outs of the mixer.
The talkback, monitor, master out are operated on the Behringer.
The sound sources you want to mix are connected to correspondent Adat outs in your project.
I hope this makes some sense to you as a startup point. It's not very elaborated but this simple setup should give you the feel to get the system going.
You can easily add more channels later.

First you need to work out which device is going to be wordclock master (ddx3216 or pulsar).

Assuming the ddx3216 will be wordclock master, in the pulsar environment open up the samplerate window under pulsar settings.
Select the samplerate you want to use (44.1khz, 48khz etc) and make sure the ddx3216 and pulsar are using the same setting. Set pulsar to "slave" and select adat a (or b) as the source for wordclock sync. You should see the little display (looks like a lcd) blank out then come up with the samplerate it has locked onto from the ddx3216. If it has done this then everything is good so far.

(oh, by the way, make sure the physical adat out port on the ddx3216 is connected to the adat in on the pulsar card. Sometimes catches people out.

Next select ADAT A and B source devices from the hardware I/O menu in the pulsar environment. Then connect the outputs of these to your stm mixer. And that's it.

If you want to send stuff back to the ddx3216, you would select ADAT A/B destination devices and connect the outputs of a mixer or other device to these.

However, the ddx3216 is quite a comprehensive mixer and, if it were me, I would set up headphone monitor mixers thru the auxilaries and the ADAT Source devices would be connected directly to the ASIO or WAVE Dest device which sends the audio straight into the sequencer.
Then I would use the STM mixers to do the mixdown. Connect ASIO/WAVE source device to STM mixer inputs.

I have already conected Pulsar with DDX3216, but I think that I have problem setting up Cubase SX with ddx3216, because I don't understand some thinks like (maybe stupid question but} I don't know what is BUS for?

I know that I can understand all thinks but the problem is time because I have 2 clients in monday and I don't know WHAT IS BUS
