This is a repost of Spirit's message about the Preset project for the Neutron Sonic Attack, introducing ME, dbmac

woodshedstudio@rogers.com

as the coordinator/organizer/gopher/secretary.
.............................................
By popular demand, the free synth for the patch project is Neutron's Sonic Attack B3. It is certainly something different from the usual run of synths.

I'm not sure the standard sound categories are going to fit this synth - it seems to specialise in some pretty hard core sonics!

Please private message me or reply to this thread and I'll add you to the patchmakers list.

* All patches should be in by the end of January
* Email patches to me here: woodshedstudio@rogers.com and I'll put the master list together and post it.

The patchmakers so far:

Petal

TonyR

Michu

Please join in, even if it's just a few patches, and if you haven't tried the Sonic Attack, download it here:
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... orum=16&19

If we get enough patches there will be ten separate banks:

Bass (all bass sounds including drones)

Lead ("character" sounds for riffs)

Arpg (LFO-based arpeggios and bpm FX)

Pads(all strings, sweeps, evolutions)

Keys (sounds for real keyboard players)

Perc (noise hits, toms & zaps)

SFX (non-musical weirdness)

Real (organ, brass, oboe, harp etc)

Hard (nasty sync, high-resonance etc)

Def (standard default bank - unaltered)

Given the nature of the Sonic Attack this list might need changing. I welcome any suggestions regarding the categories or any other aspect of this project. Let's twiddle those knobs.

Did you know Sonic Attack loads presets of it's brothers the Micro's, the "W" and Rompler, up to a certain percentage?

Hey at0mic, you're sure a busy guy around here. Thanks for Micro/W/Rompler preset tip. I don't have the Rompler - maybe you could email me the preset list? The Micro3 and NeutronW presets load into the SA, but for the most part don't do anything. I'll try and convert the Micro3 to SA since they're so similar. Any other tips, suggestions appreciated.

Right now I've got 4 banks of presets for the Sonic Attack: Defex/default - 17 pres; Michu - 35 pres; Micro3/dbmac - 11 pres; Mr. A - 31 pres.

I'll use this thread for updates, questions etc. I'll check in at Efnet - #pulsarmusic from time to time.

At the risk of sounding a bit dumb....

What is the Rompler?

I have never heard of this one.

I'm sorry Rompler's never been officially released, although the beta team has some presets for it. It's a Sonic Attack w some new features, basically they're the same.

The Sonic Attack-synth has the option for using outside effects-modules and incorporate them as part of a preset - How is the policy on using this option? Is it allowed to use standard SFP 3.1c effects?
What do you think?

Last call for presets for the Sonic Attack. Thanks to Mr A, Michu and Petal (forthcoming) for their great patches. You guys made this project work.
The finished list will be on PlanetZ later this week. Still time for last minute contributions.
