I am getting the above error in Cubase, despite starting (as always) with an open SFP project with both ASIO2 source and dest loaded and connected to the 24/48 mixer.
Cubase just does not allow the selection of SCOPE ASIO drivers.
This is weird, because it was working fine a week ago, and I am not sure what I did to destroy things...
The SFP manual (which isn't updated for SX) does not have any solutions readily available.
Any ideas?

Have you recently (last week) installed other programs?
Can't you (re-)set an ASIO Scope driver in SX?

I have installed several new progs recently, so maybe that did it. When I select SCOPE ASIO drivers under VST Multitrack in device setup (CUBASE SX), I get this:
ASIO multimedia driver
Device Creamware play/rec1
Errorcode: FF7-5-000C[20]
info:
Device could not be opened.
I will re-install SFP, and hopefully that will chase away the gremlins!
thanks,

So I reinstalled SFP 3.1c, and now I still get the Errorcode FF7-5-000C[20] error and and unable to load the scope drivers. Even worse, now I can't even use the ASIO multimedia drivers, only the direct X ASIO driver will load.
guess I will now try to reinstall SX...

A few weeks ago I've had a similar problem: It was impossible to load the SCOPE ASIO driver in Cubase.
The solution in my case: I had plugged out the optical cable out of my FOSTEX VC-8 (my master, Pulsar is slaved) and plugged into my MD-recorder to record some tracks from mini-disk (the coax S/PDIF of Pulsar is buggy!).
As I began working next day, I didn't switch the mini recorder, but forgot to put the optical plug back into the Fostex. So Pulsar booted and had no master!!! No drivers loaded.
Please check your plugs and cables. Did you change something before you got the problem? Are your cables all right?
Good luck, Thomas

Thomas,
Next time you are in Seattle, let me know and I'll buy you a beer or better yet give you a six-pack of my wicked home brew!
My Roland Dif-At died last week and had to be shipped back to roland. Pulsar was still set to slave, and after setting it's own master, all is well!
thanks,
chris

Hi Chris,
I'm very happy that I could help somebody. Cheers!
Thomas
Hope you didn't reinstall sfp too many times!
