hi , just bought today a second hand alesis (black) ADAT , i was very happy ... 'till i got home... two major problems :

1.every few seconds/minuts there is a "click" that silent the whole signal comes from the ADAT. it can come after 7 seconds or after minute and a half....

2.the sound from the ADAT sounds a bit like digitaly distorted , even when i insert a low level signal (like -15db) , at first i wasn't sure about that , but than i checked it and compared to the analogue input and there is a big diference.

i bought that ADAT to improve my studio but so far it sounds worse

please help as soon as you can , especialy if you use the same machine and got into these kind of problems , it's like buying a kid a new toy and not letting him play with it ....

i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about , after all we all have the same great disease (MUSIC).

thanx

it took me all night to figure it out : alesis ADAT works only on 48khz samplerate !
i configured the pulsar to work on 48khz and made the ADAT master , now , finnaly everything works fine.

It does work at 44.1 . You simply pitch it down to (I think) -149. The timedisplay on the Adat won't be correct though...

 the sound is o.k now but the clicks are keeping silent the signal...

mo , is that the problem you still have ?
