hey there!
just got a few questions
how does xtc affect outboard equipment?
Is it possible to route my outboard equipment through fx in cubase?
can it automatically set up routings for my inputs or do i have to make changes in the xtc project file?

thanx

I can't answer this, sorry, was just to say that i also relate to this problem.

I have to integrate outboard sound source & FXs, using luna io box, and i had loads of trouble so far making it work reliably in XTC mode...

Yes you can do all of this... Actually Cubase behaves just as if you had a "regular" soundcard... you see all your INs and OUTs in the "VST Output" and "VST input" panel.

You don't need to do any routing, just enable the inputs and assign some track to it... then insert some VST + pulsar effects on the track, etc.

Read all the threads I've listed in another thread (something about XTC threads). There are tips on setting up your XTCproject.pro file. It's not hard, I've done it once and it's been working since.

I can even perform standard "File > Export > Audio Mixdown" in Cubase, which I thought wasn't possible in XTC mode...
