Hi,

I just installed a WD 40 GB EIDE ATA-100 into my Pulsar computer.
Before there was a IBM 20 GB ATA-66.
I copied the contents of the old HD to the new with the included WD copy tool.

Windows XP is working normally.
All programs start like before, just much faster!

But Pulsar keeps saying its old sad "PCI Overflow" which I NEVER had with the old HD.
Is "UDMA mode 5" responsible? I hope not!
There are even NO devices loaded in the project.

System:
SIS K7S5A
old HD: IBM 20 GB, ATA-66, 5400 rpm
new HD: WD 40 GB, ATA-100, 7200 rpm
ATI Rage 128
512 DDRam
Pulsar I + SRB
Win XP
USB + LAN activated (never had problems before)

Thanks in advance,
Eurocide-HQ

That HD is faster and would obviously take more resources. You had one HD before now there are two. Put them on separate channels with each as master. Use 80 pin Eide cables.

Strangely, after minimizing the Pulsar surface and saving this setup as default project, the error went away into nirwana...

Weird.....
