My question is for vocals, and anything else I want to bring into my recording system through the analog ins (I've got a Luna2, no I/O expansion), and listen to them with the effects applied, but record it into Acid 3.0 as a dry signal, so if I need to change/alter the effects later I can. Here's how my setup looks:

Recording an outside source:

Analog Mixer (Berhinger MX2004A) via ALT 3/4 BUS -> Luna2 Analog IN -> Luna routing

Monitering the computer on the mixer:

Luna2 Routing -> Luna2 Analog OUT -> Analog Mixer via CHANNEL 15/16(stereo pair)

I do it this way because if I want to send a signal to the computer all I have to do is press the ALT3/4 button on the mixer and all the selected channels can be recorded. Like wise if I just want to hear it without recording it I can send the regular channels straight out the mains, including the recorded/DSP synths/Softsynths on CHANNEL 15/16.

My question is, how should I set up SFP and Acid? If I remember correctly, Acid will always send a signal to moniter unless you tell it not to. I'm confused when switching from the hardware into the software routing.

Any insight would be great, thanks!

Basically, I just have a route that bypasses the SFP mixer. Like this:

What comes out the speakers (and chan1) is going to be wet, but you can make that dry by the mixer. So you can monitor wet or dry. But ASIO Chan 2 will always be dry. Works for me atleast.

If you use the DirectOuts of the Dynamic mixer or higher, you always get a dry signal out. Connect this DirectOut with the ASIO port you use for recording, and you can use all effects within the mixer (insert or send!) - the mixer bypasses all effects at his DirectOuts.
