Where to start. I'm having four main problems, one on STS 5000, three on ModIII. Any help would be appreciated, although I have tried most of the obvious and not so obvious stuff to try and fix this don't be afraid to suggest anything. I've been emailing CW a lot recently and I thought I'd try here before banging on their door again. Anyway to the problems:
STS5000
I can't record a sample. I'm serious. Since I upgraded to SFP3.1c neither my STS 3000 or 5000 will record. As I'm a seasoned STS 3000 veteran I haven't changed my working practice and know how to record a sample and suddenly I can't record. Manual, MIDI and Threshold record just don't work. I hit the record button, it goes red and the record time stays at zero. As Far as I can tell everything else about the STS 5000 works including all the formant shifting stuff (nice). What gives?
ModIII
Problem 1: When I load a patch I get a dialogue asking for the presets directory. It looks like it's trying to load the presets from the path MACINTOSH HD: sfp3.1a:Presets whereas my actual path is MACINTOSH HD:SFP:Presets. This is the path set in LiveBar:Set:Settings:Directory so I don't see why it's looking for this old path that I never used anyway (I never used 3.1a except to upgrade to 3.1c). If I try to manually set the path from this dialogue nine time out of ten it crashes SFP completely. All my regular synths and also Mod2 look at the right path for their presets.
Problem 2: When I eventually get a patch to load I don't have any modules in the Control Bar (OSC, FIlters, Env etc), just PeopBase and CDAccess. Again before the update to SFP3.1c my Mod2 worked fine in 3.01 now both Mod2 and ModIII have no drop down modules.
Problem 3: When I load 808 Groover or 909 Groover they just produce noise instead of drum sounds (possiblly this is linked to problem 1). I just get a nasty static kind of sound (quite good for industrial though - must sample it before I fix it).
Well that's enough for now. All comments appreciated in advance (including any denouncing me as a Pulsar dunce, just as long as I get this thing working).
